Book a free trial classHow classes work across four US time zones
- Your class is scheduled in your local time — Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific — not in a single company time zone you have to convert from.
- Daylight saving is handled for you: a 6pm class in March is still a 6pm class in November.
- Weekday evenings are the most requested slots and fill first, particularly on the East Coast.
- Families on the West Coast have the widest choice, because a Pacific evening is a comfortable working morning for tutors in Pakistan.
Why American families choose one-to-one online classes
- Sunday school at the masjid is typically once a week in a group. That is enough to keep a child familiar with the Qur'an, and rarely enough to get them through it.
- Many families live a long drive from the nearest masjid offering structured Qur'an instruction, and some live nowhere near one at all.
- A female tutor is available as standard rather than as a special arrangement — which for families with daughters is usually the whole question.
- Tutors teach in fluent English, so an American-born child is not translating the lesson before they can learn it.

Questions from American parents
- Which US time zones do you cover?
- All four of the continental zones — Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific — plus Alaska and Hawaii by arrangement. Your class time is stored in your own time zone and adjusts itself through daylight saving, so it never drifts by an hour twice a year.
- How much do online Qur'an classes cost in the US?
- A monthly subscription based on how many classes a week your child takes, quoted in US dollars. Current prices are shown below and on the fees page. The first class is free and we do not take a card to book it.
- Is this better than Sunday school at the masjid?
- It is different rather than strictly better — weekend school gives a child a community that a video call cannot. What it usually cannot give is one-to-one time. Many of our families do both: the masjid for community, one-to-one classes for actual progress through the Qur'an.
- How do I know what happened in the class?
- You get a WhatsApp message after every class from the tutor, saying what was covered and where your child now is in the curriculum. You can also see their position and their attendance at any time from your parent dashboard.
- Can adults take classes too, or is it only for children?
- Adults too. There is a dedicated one-to-one track for adult sisters — beginners included — taught privately by a female tutor with no group and nobody else listening.
